COMPANY

PALMAR’s roots are to be found in Pretoro, a small village in the hinterland of Abruzzo in the Maiella National Park. Here, in the early 1900s, a craftsman named Giuseppe Antonio lovingly made small wooden objects with an old treadle lathe and only considered them ‘finished’ when he could stroke them to validate their quality.

His sons Mario and Giacomo Palmerio picked up his legacy of a deep love for wood both as a nature to be respected and as a material in addition to craftsmanship skills, beginning a journey that, after 4 generations, has led to PALMAR

The same values of the progenitor today can be found in the company’s mission: to create functional products that last with the use of modern technology, but with artisanal attention to quality and sustainability.

The optimal cycle starts with the careful selection of wood from controlled forests and continues with the total recovery of processing residues (sawdust and wood) used to heat the working environments, all with the use of a photovoltaic system that covers the company’s entire energy requirements.

The company organisation chart is modelled in an atypical manner: the functional interchange between employees and immersive management creates a strong bond between all company components that maximises production efficiency

The company’s history projects PALMAR towards a future of growth where quality and made in Italy are the cornerstones of catalogue production with the aim of offering customers its expertise in the production of customised products as well.
